Hockey is huge here, and we have a soft spot for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers due to historical connections. College sports are also a big deal, with the University of Alaska's teams attracting plenty of support. So, while we might be tucked away up north, our enthusiasm for sports is as warm as anywhere else!

The NFL is the highest level of professional American football. Currently, there are only a handful of Asians playing in the NFL. The number of Asian players in the NFL is only around 13 out of 2,500 players. Most of the Asian players in the NFL are of Korean or Japanese descent, with a few from Vietnam, Thailand, and China. While the number of Asian players in the NFL is low, the league is actively working to increase access and opportunities for Asian players. With the increasing number of Asian Americans playing the sport, the NFL hopes to see more Asian representation on the field in the coming years.
